Our Story
Some things are meant to unfold slowly.
We met in the spring of 2010, thanks to a mutual friend who was convinced we would get along. He was right.
Allison remembers Omar's wit and the easy banter that made every conversation memorable. Omar remembers meeting someone who challenged him, made him laugh, and pretended to listen to the things he had to say.
Before long, friendship became something more, and on October 10, 2010, our story officially began.
Our first date was at Griffith Observatory, where two teenagers stood hand in hand, looking at the stars above the Los Angeles city landscape with no idea what the years ahead would hold.
Since then, life has taken us through college, medical school, and now surgical training, with stops in multiple different cities and eventually on opposite coasts. Through the years, we have continued to grow alongside one another. We learned that home was never a place, but something we had in each other.
For Allison, there was never a singular moment. Love revealed itself quietly, over time and across countless seasons. There was simply the realization, year after year, that she never grew tired of Omar. Through every chapter, he remained her greatest source of laughter, comfort, and unwavering support.
For Omar, the answer came during the year we lived together while in medical school. Allison brought clarity to his life, building a home and rhythm to daily life that got them both through the pandemic. He realized there was no one else with whom he would rather share the small moments that make up a life.
In the summer of 2023, on a boat underneath the Faraglioni rocks off the coast of Capri, Omar asked Allison to marry him. And on October 10, 2026, sixteen years to the day since the beginning of our story, we will exchange vows and celebrate the next chapter together.

Gentlemen are encouraged to wear suits or tuxedos, while ladies are invited to wear floor-length gowns, elegant midi dresses, or similarly sophisticated evening attire.
